This forty-eight (48) page publication is the final report on the federally funded evaluation of Youth Justice programs called Teen Court, Youth Court, Peer Court, Student Court and Youth Peer Panels. This report was conducted by the Urban Institute in Washington, DC. It is the most current and most thorough recidivism research available on these Youth Justice programs. Rare recidivism rates are reported. More than 500 cases from four (4) sites in four (4) states were compared with similar cases handled by the traditional juvenile justice system. Alaska, Missouri, Arizona, and Maryland are the four (4) states. This report was funded by OJJDP and conducted by the Urban Institute. This is a must read for anyone interested in teen courts, youth court, peer court, student court, and youth peer panels. It is available to download for free off the Global Youth Justice Website."
