Re: Additional Electric Fans for MTC, Branch 80,

MABUHAY:
When I appeared last week at the Metropolitan Trial Court, Branch 80, of Muntinlupa City, the sala of the said court was overcrowded with litigants, witnesses, lawyers, and others, because of its overloaded trial calendar of more than 60 cases set for that day. This is the case in most first-level courts in Metro Manila. And problems like this are beyond the control of the Presiding Judge.
The
aircon of the sala could not bear to remedy the suffocating and sickening human
heat and humidity in the room. Seniors and old lawyers with heart and lung
ailments, like me (age 58), had a hard time stranding up in the midst of the heat
and humidity in the room while waiting for our cases to be called and while
mentally preparing for our own trials.
The
most that we, old lawyers, can do is to request your good office to urgently help
the said court by providing it with at
least four (4) new wall election fans (two [2] each wall) for the benefit of
the public attending the hearings and one (1) new stand fan for the Presiding
Judge. I know the presiding judge, too, suffers in silence in that kind of
environment while controlling and managing the trials of the multifarious cases
set for each perspiring day in his sala.
(Perhaps
all trial courts of your city should ultimately be given additional back-up
electric fans as suggested above).
In
closing, I congratulate your city, under your leadership, for having one of the
most beautiful and one of the newest and cleanest halls of justice in the
country, for which I am proud of your great city. Thank you. Have a blessed
