MANILA, Philippines -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday failed to render a decision on the controversial Cybercrime Law.
Supreme Court spokesperson and Public Information Office chief Theodore O. Te, said the high tribunal might issue a ruling on Republic Act No. 10175 next week.
It was learned from a reliable source that the justices were meticulous in their deliberations on the Cybercrime Law because of several provisions that they need to vote on.
There are 16 petitions against the implementation of the Cybercrime Law pending before the high court.
On October 9, 2012, the high tribunal issued a 120-day temporary restraining order (TRO) against the implementation of the law.
Before the TRO expired in February 2013, the high court made its order indefinite.
