Karl Emmanuel "Kem" Cueva Mercader is the Topnotcher (No. 1) of the March 2017 Medical Board Examinations with a general weighted average of 88.68%.
He started his medical course at the Pamantasan ng Maynila and he later moved to the University of Perpetual Help Rizal (UPHRMC) College of Medicine, Las Pinas City, where he resides.
He is a son of Atty. Myrna Cueva-Mercader, a founding partner of the Laserna Cueva-Mercader Law Offices (LCM Law), Las Pinas City and a retired law professor of FEU Institute of Law.
